The Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund not only exemplifies a genuine philosophy of caring for Oregon’s communities, it provides, through their leadership led funding initiatives, means which assure financial sustainability for organizations.  Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund has been a leader in teaching Friends of the Children, our board, and staff innovative funding strategies for long-term success.

It has always been the goal of Friends of the Children – Portland to serve even more highly at-risk children.  Behind any successful program expansion, there must be a solid foundation of steadfast initiatives for providing financial support. By matching bids of $250 or more at our May Friendraiser and pledging to support one child for their full 12 ½ years in our program, the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund has helped Friends of the Children to not only meet, but also surpass the goals for our program growth.

The generous contributions and thoughtful strategies of the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund have helped provide sustainable and longer term funding for Portland’s most at-risk youth with the care and support they deserve.
