As a young organization, operating for just four years, we were thrilled when in 2006 the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund challenged our board to grow the number of major annual donors through the formation and support for growing our Legacy Circle Membership Gift Society.
This grant invigorated our fundraising process. The challenge energized our board of directors, giving them the perfect tool to draw the new support necessary to sustain our work. The following year we were extended another challenge opportunity. The results were dramatic, doubling our success from the previous year.
Public funding does not meet all of our city’s needs for new parks, care of existing parks, and vital park programs for children. Portland Parks Foundation provides the resources to help fulfill these needs. We have tremendous passion for our work and now look forward to sustain and grow our Legacy Circle Membership, buoyed by the measure of trust and confidence received from our friends at the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund.
