The Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund has been instrumental in the success of Raphael House of Portland’s first membership society the Safe Haven Circle. Through this membership society we have extended the foundation of support for our life-saving programs and services. The membership society has engaged and empowered our board of directors to play an active role in the donor cultivation process as well as assisted us in identifying key stakeholders in our community dedicated to ending family violence. In our first year we initiated 101 Charter Members and increased our board involvement. The membership campaign gives our board the tools they need to talk about our cause, raise funds and identify future leaders.

The grant from the MCM Fund has made a critical difference for us by inspiring local foundations, businesses, service groups and individuals to make a financial and personal commitment to our organization. Because of our membership society we have been able to increase the number of women and children we serve and have the leadership necessary to expand our dynamic programs..

The support of MCM Fund expands our ability to fulfill our mission of providing a foundation of hope and healing for survivors of domestic violence.
