The Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund has helped Transition Projects to change our fundraising culture - from staff-driven to Board-led. This change has developed the leadership of the Board, and given them the opportunity to share their enthusiasm for an agency that has helped people move from homelessness to housing since 1969. As the vice chair of our Board wrote recently:
Our entire Board of Directors now tells the story of Transition Projects - how our work moves people from homelessness to housing. As they tell our story, and inspire others to join us, they ensure that Transition Projects will continue to be here to serve Oregon's most vulnerable citizens...
Transition Projects Inc The mission of Transition Projects is to serve people's basic needs as they transition from homelessness to housing.
"When I tell people about Transition Projects, they respond, and they want to know how they can help."

Transition Projects IncWe made this transition to Board-led fundraising because we did not want to put our mission at risk by relying too heavily on any single funder. We believe that we are best able to do our work, and to meet our mission, by gathering support from the whole community. Toward that end, our Board has worked with the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund to expand our fundraising efforts to individual donors. The result has been a steady addition of friends and supporters to the agency, and a Board that is more deeply involved in the work of our agency.

Our entire Board of Directors now tells the story of Transition Projects - how our work moves people from homelessness to housing. As they tell our story, and inspire others to join us, they ensure that Transition Projects will continue to be here to serve Oregon's most vulnerable citizens, and to affect the change necessary to end homelessness.
